Obtaining a UCR NetID

Obtaining a UCR NetID begins with your affiliation with the University. 

For students this affiliation begins when they submit their SIR (Statement of Intent to Register).  For more information on Getting Connected for Students, please visit:  http://cnc.ucr.edu/iguide/

For Faculty and Staff, affiliation with the University begins upon their hiring.  Information that is entered into the Payroll Personnel System (PPS) along with added department information (e.g. working title, secondary titles, etc.), are used to populate the campus Enterprise Directory, thus resulting in the creation of a UCR NetID.  For more information on the steps to obtain a UCR NetID, please visit:  http://cnc.ucr.edu/esai/index.php?content=ucrnetid.html

Once UCR staff, faculty, and student information makes its way to the Enterprise Directory, individuals are automatically granted access to several electronic communications services (e.g. e-mail, etc.) and are eligible for access to other systems (e.g. electronic travel system).
