Gaining Access

General Considerations

AP Recruit contains sensitive and confidential data elements. As a result, access to AP Recruit should be limited to those individuals who are directly involved in the academic recruitment process and who require access to recruitment data. Additionally, those individuals with access to AP Recruit must clearly understand that they are accountable for ensuring the security and privacy of this data when viewing, retrieving, and exporting information within the AP Recruit system.

UC Riverside Faculty and Staff Administrators who access AP Recruit must have a UCR NetID. Users login to AP Recruit using their UCR NetID and password.

Search Committee Members and Approvers

Please be informed that Search Committee Members are required to complete online training once each fiscal year in the 2014-2015 AY prior to reviewing applicants for 2014-2015AY Recruitments in the AP Recruit System. This requirement applies ONLY to Search Committee Members that are listed on the Recruitment Plan and not to faculty reviewers.

AP Recruit Approvers are required to complete online training prior to approving 2014-2015 Recruitment Plans in AP Recruit.

The following procedural items are in place to ensure compliance with our internal recruitment policies.

  1. The first item involves confirming that Search committee members have been provided information on the UCR Academic Recruitment Process.
  2. The second item involves confirming that Search Committee Members and AP Recruit Approvers have been provided 2014-2015 Affirmative Action Recruitment Guidelines.
  3. The third item involves confirming that AP Recruit users have been provided system training.

To ensure compliance and to request access to the system, please do the following:

  1. Complete the AP Recruit Online Training for Search Committee Members and Approvers by Reviewing the pdf version or the PowerPoint presentation [30-45 minutes].
  2. Complete and Submit the Training Acknowledgement Form below.

 Operating Systems & Browsers

AP Recruit supports the latest browsers for all modern operating systems. We recommend that users stay as up-to-date as possible, not just to ensure compatibility with UC Recruit, but maintain a secure computing environment.

  • Operating systems: Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8) and Apple Mac OS X 10.6+ (Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion, Mountain Lion)
  • Browsers: Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox 10+(recommend 14.0+)

 Granting Access

  • Recruit Analyst (Department and College/School level access)
  • Equity Advisor (College/School level access)

Access to AP Recruit for Search Committee roles are granted by the Recruit Analyst for each Recruitment as appropriate. Please contact your Organization's AP Recruit Representative regarding access questions for search committee roles.
