New Business Architecture and Portal
The UC must begin implementing a New Business Architecture that will scale to meet challenges provided by enrollment growth, technological advances, and the rising expectations of our constituents. As the New Business Architecture evolves to better support basic administrative operations, it will offer similar opportunities in the administration of such mission critical activities as sponsored research and student services. New E-Mail System
In response to input from various faculty, staff, academic departments, and administrative units, Computing and Communications (C&C) is pleased to announce the availability of a new campus e-mail system. E-mail@UCR is web-enabled, designed to meet the increasing needs of faculty and staff to securely and easily access their UCR e-mail from anywhere in the world. More about Email@UCR
Travel System
The development of the web- based Travel system is well underway. Several workgroups were formed to define the process flow, business rules, data elements, and accounting considerations of this system. More about Travel
PAMIS
The UCR Proposal and Award Management Information System (PAMIS) has been deployed to the pilot user group. Version 1 features proposal and award creation, establishment of funds and fund attributes, and creation of departmental budgets via BEA in a completely online, paperless environment. Interfaces to the UCR Financial System have been completed, and the document imaging component allows the Office of Research to scan and upload award documents so that all supporting documentation is instantly available online to users across campus. Printing & Reprographics System
A new Printing and Reprographics Work Order System is now being deployed at UCR. This web-based system allows users across campus to submit their printing requests online. Importantly, source documents can be attached electronically to work orders, eliminating the need for customers to print and carry originals to the printing office. This highly-configurable system allows P&R staff to process and bill all work orders electronically via the web. More about P&R
