iViews Deployment
On March 31st, UCR will deploy a new staff portal called iViews (Visual Interface to Enterprise Workplace Systems). The iViews portal utilizes CAS and thus allows users single-sign access to a variety of applications.
Some web systems utilizing CAS will be available from within the iViews portal as well as from an existing web address. On March 28th, C&C will deploy its first CAS application that fits this profile: UCR's eCalendar system. Soon thereafter, the campus e-mail system (Webmail) will also begin utilizing CAS. Thus, Webmail will also be available from within the portal and from its existing web address.
