Using E-mail Off Campus

Off Campus

Getting Access

To access your e-mail from home, or any off campus location, you have some choices. The easiest and best way is to use an Internet connection and your favorite web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator) to access your e-mail through the webmail client at https://webmail.ucr.edu. This requires no additional software, and can be used worldwide, on any Internet connected computer.

To setup Eudora, Outlook, Thunderbird, or any other program to use the new e-mail system please see the relevant sections on the left navigation. You may also want to set your e-mail program to leave the messages on the server, so that you can download copies once you are in your office. The CSG Help Desk, at x23555, can help you with setting up to read your UCR e-mail at home.
