Scotmail Information for Emeriti

Filtering Scotmail for Emeriti

Managing and Filtering UCR Scotmail Messages

Beginning March 25th 2009, all UCR Emeriti/ae will begin receiving e-mail sent to the mandatory faculty Scotmail list.

If you prefer not to receive Scotmail in your e-mail inbox, please see the notes below for step-by-step instructions on filtering messages using your e-mail tool of choice. Instructions are available for Webmail, Eudora (Windows), Outlook, Outlook Express and Mac Mail.

Please feel free to contact the UCR Help Desk with additional questions or concerns (helpdesk@ucr.edu). For more information about UCR's Scotmail system, please visit http://scotmail.ucr.edu/.

Note: To stop all Scotmails from entering any of your e-mail programs, simply follow the instructions for the Webmail filter and all Scotmails will be filtered into your Webmail Trash folder and never reach your inboxes. Doing this, however, will use your quota on the Webmail server, so please go into your Webmail and empty your Trash folder frequently.
