Every faculty member is given space on C&C's UNIX Server named FACULTY at no charge. To use this service you must have a UCR NetID. If you need to request a UCR NetID, Click here.

To take advantage of getting your web site hosted by C&C, follow these steps below:

1. Create your website in HTML using any editor that you want (DreamWeaver, Word, etc).
2. Determine your account name (Example - JSmith or John_Smith).
3. Obtain a faculty web account by doing the following:
   1. Send e-mail from your UCR e-mail account to Computing and Communications requesting a cache account.
   2. Make up a new password for the "faculty.ucr.edu" server account (6 - 8 characters). Please do not use the same password you used for email.
   3. The URL to your website will be http://faculty.ucr.edu/~yourname.
   4. Transfer files over to your faculty web directory via ftp. Contact the Help Desk (Ext. 2-3555) for assistance.
   5. Notify your department to add a link to your new faculty page
