Q.  What is a UCR NetID and why do I need one?

A. New career employees are routinely assigned a UCR NetID by their department Enterprise Directory Administrator when they are hired. A list of Enterprise Administrators can be found at http://eacs/eacs/EACS_REPORT.ucrtel_transactor_list. Employee UCR NetID's can be found using the web-based employee search at Employee Search.

Without a UCR NetID, employees cannot access HR Data Warehouse.

Q.  What is UCR Enterprise Directory and how is it relates to HR Data Warehouse?

A. HR Data Warehouse authenticates UCR NetID's against UCR's Enterprise Directory, which is a database maintained by the campus Enterprise Directory Administrator.

Q.  What is the Enterprise Access Control System and how does it relate to the HR Data Warehouse?

A. The Enterprise Access Control System (EACS) is the online management tool used by Systems Access Administrators (SAA's) to grant access to the campus' various online systems. After authenticating a user's UCR NetID, the Student Academic Advising System checks EACS to confirm appropriate user privileges. Q.  How do I gain access to HR Data Warehouse?

A. To find out how to gain access to HR Data Warehouse visit the Gaining Access section of this website or click on the link http://cnc.ucr.edu/hrdw/access.html.

Q.  Why can't I see my ORG on the Reports Tab?

A. If unable to view your ORG on the Reports Tab that might mean you are not authorized to view that ORG. You will need to get authorization from your SAA.

Q.  How do I reproduce a Report?

A. To reproduce a Report the user can go to Using the Query Builder or if trying to reproduce a specific Report the user can go to HRDW Reports.

Q.  How do I export the results from the Report to Excel?

A. To export the results from the Report to Excel the user would select the Excel icon under the drop down menu of the Reports tab.

Q.  How can I find particular fields on the Columns Tab?

A. To find particular fields on the Columns tab the user may select that particular criteria from the Criteria Tab by clicking on it and the page will be routed to the Columns Tab.

Q.  Does everything in the Criteria and Columns Tabs need to be filled out?

A. No, you do not need to fill out everything in the Criteria and Columns Tabs. The only information that need to be filled out in these two tabs are what is need to create the Report that is being reproduced. To find this information click here.

Q.  What are the Details and Summary buttons used for?

A. The Details gives the user rows of detailed information which include Employee ID, First Name and Last Name. The Summary button allows the the user to summarize their search. Only certain columns are allowed to be selected in this mode to give just a count of the sections.

Q.  What are the Sum and AVG buttons used for?

A. The Sum and Avg buttons only work in Summary mode.  To get the Sum or Avg using these buttons the user must go to the Columns Tab and choose the columns with the Sum symbol "Σ" as well as some columns without the Sum symbol. (Because the Sum is given for those columns without the Sum symbol).

Q.  Where do I look to see everything that I have selected from the Criteria and Columns Tabs?

A. The Settings Tab is where the user can verify the criteria and columns that have been selected before or after they have received their results.
