iLearn Course Availability
With the increasing campus use of the iLearn learning management system, Computing and Communications is moving towards more system automation and tighter integration to other campus services, especially in how the iLearn course sites and user accounts are established. The automation process will provide more control to departments in how and when iLearn resources become available to a departments instructional program.
To provide UCR instructors sufficient time to develop content for their courses, a yearly schedule of course availability will be published on the iLearn support website (http://cnc.ucr.edu/ilearn ) indicating when course sites are scheduled to become available to instructors and when the sites will be available for students’ use. The iLearn site availability period or Course Duration is used to protect any copyright issues and instructor intellectual property rights by restricting content use to only the active quarter. Instructors will be given access to their course sites as soon as they are assigned teaching responsibility in the Student Information System (SIS). Valid instructor accounts (NetIDs) are required in the campus Enterprise Directory for instructor access.
