- UCR Network Core Upgrade is Complete.
- Efforts are continuing to formulate a continuing funding mechanism for network build-out, maintenance, and operations.
- UCR's long term network plan to be completed by January 1999.
- Committee to replace UCR's phone switch and to evaluate Computer Telephony has been formed.

ADMINISTRATIVE COMPUTING HIGHLIGHTS |
- Andy Wood, UCR CS Graduate, former C&C SIS+ programmer, and lead Registrar Project Manager for SIS+ has left UCR for a position with PeopleSoft.
- UCR current on PPS Releases.
- UCR has requested that UCOP consider modifying PPS to accommodate new UCR PeopleSoft Chartfields (also known as FAU, Full Accounting Unit).

CLIENT SERVER HIGHLIGHTS |
- Custom PeopleSoft efforts nearing completion (BEA, PAN, NPCT, FAU, STAFFING). Testing to begin in mid-September.
- Physical Plant Process Design Completed; CMMS Training to be Completed in September; Web Efforts to begin Shortly.
- Purchase Order Complete for Communications Work Order / Billing System from the Angeles Group. SQL Server Training to be help in October.
- SUPER D.O.P.E. to be rolled out to campus users in October.
