Download and Install Office


Need Office 2016? 

You can download Office for your computer right from the Outlook Web Application of Office 365. It's that simple! The install package with Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, for your operating system, will display. You can install on up to 5 devices!

  1. Access http://portal.office.com or http://outlook.com/ucr.edu and then click on "Office 365" on the top left.

Office 365 will detect your operating system and allow you to install. Click "Install now" and your package will begin to download.Install now graphic

  1. Note: The example above is for Windows
  2. Once downloaded, click on the package and begin through the wizard, following the instructions to set up Office on your computer.

Office for your mobile device

Would you like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote on your phone? You can always visit the app store for your device (Windows = Windows Store, Android = Android Market Place, Apple = Apple Store) or you can follow the instructions below. 

  1. Instead of selecting "Install now", click on the link for "Get Office on your devices" where it asks if you have a smartphone or tablet. Or, go to this website: https://products.office.com/en-us/mobile/office
  2. Select your device from the list.

  3. Select either to send an email, SMS, or go to the device store to download.

  4. Once you receive the download link, download from your device and install following the Office instructions.
