What is the SCS Kiosk?
The SCS Kiosk is a computer kiosk located in many of the SCS computer labs, as well as Bear Help, that allows students to manage their UCR NetID's or request general assistance.
If you need to use an SCS kiosk, please visit Bear Help in the HUB or one of the computer labs in Watkins 2111, Sproul or Statistics.
- Looking up your UCR Net ID and email address
In order to lookup your UCR Net ID and email address you will need your Student ID Number (SID) and PermPIN. If you do not know your PermPIN you should go to the Registrar's Office with a picture ID and they will give it to you. Your UCR Net ID will allow you access to the SCS computer labs, email, VPN, the wireless network, and your iLearn account.

- Changing your password
Use this option when you already know your password but want to have a different one. In order to change your password you will need your UCR Net ID, your current password, and the new password that you have chosen. Your email account, iLearn account, wireless account, VPN account and SCS computer lab account all use the same password. Therefore, when you change your password here it will change for all of these accounts.

- Resetting your password if you have forgotten your password
Use this option when you do not know your password or your password doesn't work. In order to reset your password back to your PermPIN you will need your last name, Student ID Number (SID), PermPIN, and birthdate as they are shown on your Registration Form. If you do not have your Registration Form you can obtain it from the Registrar's Office or your Advising Dept. Your email account, iLearn account, wireless account, VPN account and SCS computer lab account all use the same password. Therefore, when you reset your password here it will reset for all of these accounts.

- Resetting your iLearn password
If you are an Extension student and your iLearn password is not working, please contact Extension Student Services at (951) 827-4105.
- Signing up for an iLearn account
If you are an Extension student who is enrolled in a class that requires the use of iLearn, and you do not yet have an iLearn account, please contact Extension Student Services at (951) 827-4105.
- Signing up for an Extension computer lab account
Use this option if you are an Extension student who is concurrently enrolled in a class at UCR that requires the use of a computer. In order to sign up for an Extension computer lab account you will need your full name, your Student ID Number, email address where you can be contacted, and the class or classes that you are taking.
- Signing up for an Alumni account
Use this option if you are a former UCR student and a current member of the Alumni Association who would like to be able to use the SCS computer labs. In order to sign up for an Alumni account you will need your full name, email address where you can be contacted, and the date when your Alumni Association membership expires.
- Requesting assistance with miscellaneous account problems
Use this option if you have an account or password problem that doesn't fit under one of the other options (i.e. Z drive, slated for removal) or you have already tried one of the other options and it did not work. You will need your full name, email address where you can be contacted, login name, Student ID Number (SID), and a description of the problem (please include what steps you have taken to solve it).
