Security Resources
Computing & Communications is committed to the integrity of UCR's systems and network. As new security challenges arise, Computing & Communications will periodically provide resources to the campus to help protect the integrity of our distributed computing environment. You are invited to take advantage of the resources listed below:
- Server Security Servers store the data and host the applications that make UCR's various programs and initiatives possible. It is imperative that all servers on UCR's network are properly secured. This page contains extensive guidelines on securing servers running Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh OS, or Unix operating systems.
- Protecting Web Applications from SQL Injection SQL Injection is one of the most dangerous forms of cyber attack. SQL Injection involves the malicious use of SQL (Structured Query Language) commands to access, manipulate and/or destroy data accessible through web applications. In this presentation, UCR staff describe and demonstrate SQL Injection methods and discuss how to protect web applications from SQL Injection vulnerabilities. A discussion of development best practices for securing web applications is also included in the video.
