EACS
The Enterprise Access Control System (EACS) is the second core technology supporting UCR’s iViews administrative portal. EACS provides UCR System Access Administrators a single web tool to create and manage an “accountability structure” for their scope of responsibility. Using EACS, SAAs can directly grant authority to utilize campus electronic systems and can quickly and easily revoke access as well.
EACS determines whether or not individual users have the authority to access particular systems and applications. When fully deployed, EACS will be used (in a virtually paperless environment) to grant authority to systems ranging from Purchasing to the web version of the campus financial system. EACS contains reports that allow SAAs to view their accountability structure grouped by application or by UCR NetID.
