Connecting to "mobilenet" Wireless
- Boot up the laptop with the wireless card inserted or verify that the wireless interface is enabled.
- Open up a web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
- Go to any website (http://www.yahoo.com, http://www.ucr.edu, etc). The URL does not matter.
- You will be forwarded to a login page.
- Read the policy and security information.
- Enter your UCR Net ID.
- Enter your password.
- Press Login.
- If you enter the correct password, you will automatically forwarded to the URL entered in step 3.
Note that this is not a permanent registration. You will have to login after leaving the network for three hours.
