Drop/Ignore Questions



Method 1: Drop/Ignore (i.e., the lowest score) for Individual Students

1. In the Analyzer software, go to the “Answer Key” tab and click “Show Students:”

2. The first student in your roster will appear to the right, showing all the scores for each session. You can click between students using the “<< Prev. Student || Next Student >>” buttons in the black bar:

3. When you identify the lowest score, click on the individual answers given for each question on that session and choose “Drop/Ignore:”

4. The “Points” column for that session will show that the responses have been dropped and will not count toward the total score.

Method 2: Drop/Ignore for All Students

You can also drop the question globally for all students using the "down" arrow under the “Questions” column:

Method 3: Drop Lowest "X" Number of Questions

There is also a global “Drop Questions” option in the inside Analyzer (at the top):

Using this method, the system is agnostic about whether disparate questions belong to a set, as with a quiz. If you plan to drop the lowest quiz score, refer to Method 1 for each student, based on percentage earned per session.

Recommended:

Depending on the use case, the recommended method is generally to “ignore” the questions for the unnecessary data sets globally:

This would allow the questions to remain in the Analyzer account for your class, in case you need to “un-ignore” them again:
