Information for Emeriti/ae

Policies

When you Retire...

The UCR Payroll Personnel System (PPS) and the Enterprise Directory will be updated to reflect your new Emeritus/a status.

It is very important that Emeritus/a designations are established within UCR's Payroll Personnel System (PPS) and the Enterprise Directory for all retired faculty so that access and connectivity can be maintained with all campus electronic systems. When updates to PPS and the Enterprise Directory have been completed Emeritus/a faculty will have the same access to campus systems as currently employed (non-retired) faculty.

Please contact your Enterprise Directory Coordinator for any questions, or see more information about the administrative process.

Retiring Faculty with Emeritus/a status will maintain an active UCR NetID and enjoy a number of other benefits.

Overview - Migrating Existing Emeritus/a Faculty Entries

  1. Enterprise Directory Report.  To assist Enterprise Directory Administrators with identifying current Emeritus/a faculty within the Enterprise Directory that require a WOS PPS entry, a new report has been created.  Enterprise Directory Administrators should please select "Enterprise Directory Emeritus/a Entries" from the Enterprise Directory, General Options, Reports menu.  This report will list all Emeritus/a faculty that currently exist within the Enterprise Directory that require a PPS WOS entry.
  2. PPS Entries Must be Created by August 5th.  Departments must complete the WOS PPS entries for all current Emeritus/a faculty by August 4, 2009.  If Emeritus/a faculty do not have an active PPS WOS appointment  (using title codes 1132 or 3249) by 8/4/2009, access to campus e-mail and other UCR electronic application will be inhibited.
  3. Upgrade to Occur on Monday August 6th, 2009.  C&C will deploy the upgrade to the Enterprise Directory on August 5th.  Any PPS WOS entries containing title codes 1132 or 3249 will automatically update the Enterprise Directory and the Emeritus/a faculty will have the same access to campus email and systems as non-retired faculty.
