Sync iPad or iPhone

Setting up your iPhone or iPad with Office 365

You can set up an email account using the Outlook for iOS app or the built-in iOS mail app to access your email, calendar, and contacts.

Had UCR Exchange Account Set Up Prior to Migration? 

If you already have your UCR email set up as an Exchange account for your iPhone or iPad, you will only need to make a couple changes after migration if you want to continue to use the native e-mail app. 

  • Go to "Settings"
  • Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  • Under the "Accounts" section, select your previously setup Exchange account with your UCR email. 
  • Tap your email under "Exchange"
  • Update your account details. 
    1. The server should be "". 
    2. Make sure your username is your 
    3. Update your password to your newly changed CAS password.

Use Outlook App for iOS

You can download the Microsoft Outlook app for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch from the Apple App Store. Outlook for iOS requires iOS 8.0 or higher. If the app is incompatible with your device, try adding your mail account using the built-in mail app that comes with your device.

View these steps in a video.

  1. Download the Outlook for iOS app from the Apple Store if you haven't installed it yet.

    If you already have it installed, open it, then tap SettingsAdd Account > Add Email Account.

  2. On the Add Email Account page, type your email, and then tap Add Account.

  3. Tap Office 365.

  4. On the sign in page, your email address is filled in for you. Type your password (same password you use for Central Authenticated Services), and then tap Sign in.

    TIP: If you get a time-out message, your password or other information might be incorrect. Retype the information, and then try again.

    You'll also be required to log in with your Central Authentication Services credentials. 

  5. Select Yes to let the app access your info, if prompted. Outlook for iOS begins syncing.

  6. Tap one of the icons to view your calendar, files, or contacts in the app.

Add another account

  1. You can have more than one email account in Outlook for iOS. Tap Settings > Add Account > Add Email Account.

  2. Go back to the top of this page and select the type of account you want to add.

Delete an account

  1. Tap Settings.

  2. Tap the account you want to delete.

  3. Select Remove Account, and then select Delete From This Device or Delete From All Devices.

Using Built-in iOS Mail App

Creating a new account

  1. Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add account.

  2. In the Add Account page, tap Exchange.

    Select the type of account you want to add
  3. Enter your email address, and your password (the password you use for Central Authenticated Services), and then tap Next.

  4. By default, MailContactsCalendarsReminders, and Notes are synchronized. Toggle sliders to change the default. Tap Save.

  5. If you're prompted to create a passcode, tap Continue and type a numeric passcode. If you're prompted and don't set up a passcode, you can't view this account on your device. You can also set up a passcode later in your settings.

The phone will verify your information and add the account. You will then see your new account listed.  Your mail will be sent to the Mail app on the iPhone or iPad with the number of unread messages in red. Your calendar appointments will be in the Calendar app.
