Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I see the UCR Photo Roster System?

    1. Log on to with your UCR NetID and Password or access the Photo Roster System from R'Space (
    2. After authentication, the system will retrieve a list of courses that you are currently teaching.
    3. Click on a course name and the system will retrieve a list of students in that course. If the student has opted out or the system does not have the student’s photo, the system will display a default no-photo image.
  • Who can access the UCR Photo Roster System?

    In order to access the UCR Photo Roster System, the user must: 

    1.  Have a valid UCR Net Id and password.
    2. Have a professorial title code between 1100 and 1399, a Lecturer title code of  1550, 1575, 1576, 1605, 1606, 1607, 1608, 1615, 1617, 1618, 1620, 1622, 1624, 1626, 1628, 1630, 1631, 1632, 1633, 1634, 1635, 1650, 1665, 1666, 1667, 1675, 1676, 1680, 1681, or 1682, or Visiting faculty 1711, 1712, 1713, 1714, or Adjunct title codes 3258, 3259, 3268, 3278, 3362, 3363, 3377, 3378, 3379.
    3. Be the instructor of record for the specific course in the Banner Student Information System.
  • Can my TA view the UCR Photo Roster System?

    No, TA's will not be able to view the Photo Roster.

  •  What if there is no photo available or the student has opted out?

    In both cases, in place of an actual photo of the student, a placeholder graphic will be displayed.

  • Will I see images for concurrently enrolled students?

    No, students who are concurrently enrolled will not be displayed as they do not have a UCR Student ID.

  • How long will Photo Roster be available for the current quarter?

    Photo Roster is typically made available on the first day of instruction for each quarter and remains available through the grading period. Photo Rosters from previous quarters can be viewed as well.
