Clicker Checkout Policies and Procedures


Clicker Checkout Program - Student Policies and Procedures

Students enrolled in a class for which the instructor has reserved Clickers available via the Clicker Checkout Program are eligible to reserve a clicker via the Clicker Checkout Program.

To Reserve a Clicker:
  1. To be eligible to take advantage of the Clicker Checkout Program you must be enrolled in a course that will be utilizing clickers.  Your professor must submit a Clicker Account configuration request in order for a given course (and students) to be eligible to reserve clickers for checkout.
  2. The Clicker Checkout Program reservation website will be available the first day of Instruction (December 9th, commencing at 12:00AM).
  3. Reservations are based on a first come, first served basis.   
To Check Out a Clicker:
  1. Bring your UCR R'Card.  Your card is required to check out a clicker.
  2. Go to Watkins Hall 2103 (2111 after 5pm) during the Watkins Lab open lab hours.
  3. Upon successful checkout, please register your clicker for use via the http://clickers.ucr.edu/ registration site.
To Check In a Clicker:
  1. Please return your clicker to Watkins Hall 2103 (2111 after 5pm) no more than 2 business days after the end of the current academic quarter.
  2. The Lab Consultant will then perform an inspection of the Clicker and check it back in.
Policies
  1. To reserve a clicker students must read and agree to the Clicker Checkout Program Agreement.
  2. If a student does not have their R'Card they can get their barcode from the Card Office, then provide their barcode and show alternate photo ID upon checkout. 
  3. Clickers may be used in any class that will utilize clickers for instruction.
  4. Clickers may be checked out for up to one quarter.
  5. If a student currently has a clicker registered via the clicker registration site, they will not be eligible to take advantage of the Clicker Checkout Program.
  6. If a student is not presently enrolled in courses that require the use of clickers, they will not be eligible to take advantage of the Clicker Checkout Program.
  7. Failure to return a clicker is subject to a replacement fee, equal to the replacement cost per the Campus Store, charged to the student's account.
  8. Vandalism to the clicker is subject to a replacement fee, equal to the replacement cost per the Campus Store, charged to the student's account.
  9. Damage to the clicker is subject to a replacement fee, equal to the replacement cost per the Campus Store, charged to the student's account.
  10. Missing or broken parts will result in a $55 charge to the student's account.
