Electronic Enforcement of Business Rules

Many travel related business rules have been built into iTravel. For instance:

  • Travelers and travel coordinators cannot claim more than the approved mileage reimbursement rate, since the field is already populated.
  • When a trip request is being submitted that is more than 21 days late, there is an electronic notice that an explanation is required.
  • When a travel advance is not cleared within 45 days of the end date of a trip, the default FAU is charged for a "delinquent advance" expense, and the SAA is sent an email notification of the charge.
