Attaching Files


Uploading Attachments

You may add attachments to pages in your space. You may add any kind of file as an attachment, including images, Word documents, presentations, PDFs, multimedia and sound files, etc. To do so:

  1. Browse to the page you wish to attach the file to (or you may attach files to your space's Home page).
  2. Click Add > Attachment.
  3. Click the Browse button to browse for a file on your computer.
  4. Highlight the file you want to attach, then click "Open"
  5. If desired, add a comment to the file.
  6. Click Attach to attach the file, or click "Attach more files" to add more files at once (then click Attach when you have selected all files you wish to attach).
  7. Click "View" when finished to see your page; it will now have a paper clip icon below the title, which readers may click on to view the page's attachments.

You may also be able to use the drag-and-drop uploader if you see a box that says "Drop files here to attach them." To do so:

  1. Browse for the file on your computer.
  2. When you have located the file you wish to attach, drag its icon onto the "Drop files here to attach them" box. Repeat if necessary.
  3. Click "View" when finished to see your page; it will now have a paper clip icon below the title, which readers may click on to view the page's attachments.

Linking to Attachments

When editing a page that has attachments, you may insert text links to those attachments. To do so:

  1. Click Edit to begin editing the page.
  2. Highlight the text you would like to link to a file.
  3. Click the Link button.
  4. Click Attachments.
  5. Highlight the attachment you would like to link to. You may also upload a new attachment from here.
  6. Click Insert.

To edit an existing link, place your cursor somewhere within the linked text, then click the Link button and change the link. To remove a link, delete the linked text and, if necessary, re-type it.
